A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to save on your device. On a later visit the browser sends it back, allowing the site to recognise the device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking pixels. In this policy we refer to all of them together as "cookies".
Cookies can be first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by another company's code embedded in the page). They can last only until you close the browser (session) or remain for a set period (persistent).
Which cookies does this website set?
Our pages are built with plain HTML, CSS and a small script for the menu, photo viewer and collection filter. None of these features write cookies. The table below summarises our position.

What about links and emails?
When you click an email link, your own email program opens; that program and your email provider follow their own cookie practices. If we link to an outside website, cookies on that site are controlled by its owner, not by us.
How can I control cookies in my browser?
Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking all cookies will not affect how our outdoor lighting pages work, although it may affect other websites you use.

Safari
Settings (Preferences) → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Firefox
Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
Edge
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
On phones and tablets, look for similar options in the browser's settings menu under privacy or site data.
Will this ever change?
If we add features such as online checkout, we may need to introduce cookies. Before that happens we will revise this page, list each new cookie with its purpose and lifespan, and — where the law requires — ask for your permission before any non-essential cookie is placed.
